Articles and interviews promoting Amazon UK's new series The Collection, which launches on September 2nd, have been included in a number of UK TV magazines this week. The latest issue of TV & Satellite Week has the show on its cover as well as a 2 page feature inside. The lovely cover photo of Tom as Claude Sabine is new! Full size scans of the cover and feature have been uploaded to the galleries. For those who are not in UK, you can buy the issue on Zinio

The interview with Tom in TV & Satellite Week reveals that he did a sewing course as part of his research for the show, but found it tough threading a needle quickly on camera.

The latest TV Times magazine has a very small piece on The Collection, but describes it as a glorious drama and gives it 5 stars. The Times Culture magazine posted a feature on The Collection on Sunday, and sadly posted new photos of other cast members, but not Tom. Read the article here (requires registration).

Set in a fictional fashion house after the occupation, it centres on two brothers, Paul and Claude Sabine (Richard Coyle and Tom Riley). Claude is the tortured, repressed genius who scribbles the show-stopping dresses on discarded envelopes after all-night binges; Paul is the soigné company head, the business brain who charms the American heiresses and builds Sabine into a label of international renown. Meanwhile Mamie Gummer, daughter of Meryl Streep, plays Paul’s American wife, Helen, who helped run a hospital for Resistance fighters during the war.
