A rather nice preview artcle for ITV's 6 part series Dark Heart has been shared by Culture Whisper, highlighting good chemistry between Tom Riley and Colin Teague. How do you spot chemistry between an actor and director? Intriguing.

Award-winning writer Chris Lang, who is adapting the series for television, focuses on this unique premise, ‘For me he is that most unusual of things, a TV cop whose personal story is as compelling as the cases he investigates.’ He’s also clear on his enjoyment in working with, ‘the hugely talented Mr Riley.’

Most of the cast are veterans of the crime genre and can bring a certain level of performative polish to Dark Heart and there’s good chemistry between lead Tom Riley and director Colin Teague who worked together on Da Vinci’s Demons. Charlotte riley gave a standout performance in Peaky Blinders and we've also seen her in Close to the Enemy. Will this new six-part detective thriller be enough to give Luther a run for its money? We hope so. That’s why we can’t wait to see what Dark Heart is like later this year.

There is no date yet set for the series broadcast, though a fantastic new photo of Tom Riley as DI Wagstaffe has been shared by ITV here.
