The first photo of Tom Riley as Lt Willis Keith in The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial has been shared by La Biennale di Venezia on social media. The premiere / press screening of the film takes place (out of competition) tomorrow evening 2nd September 2023, and main premiere it seems on 3rd September.
It isn't clear who will be in attendance for the film. Sadly, director William Freidkin died last month, while there are the ongoing writer and actor strikes in the US. Tomorrow is also the 5th wedding anniversary of Tom Riley and Lizzy Caplan's Italian wedding - wishing them both a wonderful day.
The Hollywood Reporter has shared an article about William Friedkin and the Venice film festival, while Coming Soon net speculates on the film's release date. Nothing has been announced, but the BBFC has awarded a 12 certificate for bad language.
