A new video interview with Tom, recorded at the recent UK Da Vinci's Demons season 2 finale screening in Cardiff has been shared by WalesOnline. Watch it on the website. New photos have been shared by the BBC, the Welsh Government and via the e-edition of WalesOnline.
Riley has recently been filming near Caerphilly for the Robots of Sherwood episode which uses the Robin Hood legend to give The Doctor and assistant Clara Oswald, Jenna Coleman, a new medieval adventure. He says of the shoot:
"It's such fun, I've been a Doctor Who fan since I was yey high. "It was a dream come true to be part of that world and see how it's created. Seeing the Tardis. "I had doctor who themed parties each year and would go as a different Doctor "Peter is going to really surprise people. I have to be careful what I say. But there's just something in his eye that screams timelord history"...
...Tom Riley adds that the people of Swansea are very welcoming: "Swansea's become a home away from home. "We all live in London so to be able to get out to the beach and sea and air and the beautiful surrounding countryside of the Gower and the Mumbles. It's lovely."
But he says, the cast tend to get noticed more across the pond than in Wales. "Gregg and I were in Vegas and people were just calling our names, we had restaurant managers giving us their cards..."
...Tom Riley adds: "The finale does something quite incredible. It manages to pull all the threads together and wrap all the storylines up from season two, as well as setting up for next season. "We'll try to improve on the second season. Try and top what's done before.
"I'd like Da Vinci to have shirts that do up to his neck so I can be a bit warmer in the Swansea night!"
