The BBC announced the broadcast date for Doctor Who series 8, which means we have an idea when Tom's episode 3 will air in the UK and US. Series 8 episode 1 starts on August 23rd 2014 - with episode 3 hopefully airing on 6th Sptember 2014. It seems that BBC America broadcasts the show on the same day as BBC One in the UK.
An article in the latest SFX magazine (August 2014), now on sale, looks at the new series, and includes a small photo of Tom on set. The SFX website has more details about each episode.

Tom Riley (Leonardo in Da Vinci’s Demons) stars in this episode, along with Trevor Roper, who last appeared in Doctor Who in 1985 in the story “Revelation Of The Daleks”. Other cast members include Ian Halland (An Adventure In Space And Time, Sherlock, Hustle), Sabrina Bartlett, David Benson and Roger Ashton-Griffiths, who’s been in everything from The Young Ones to Young Sherlock Holmes to Game Of Thrones. And it’s been revealed that comedian, actor and Who fan Ben Miller (Armstrong & Miller, Primeval, Death In Paradise) will be playing a villain.Steven Moffat, lead writer and executive producer, added: “Mark Gatiss has written us a storming villain for his new episode, and with Capaldi in the TARDIS, we knew we needed somebody special to send everybody behind the sofa. And quite frankly, it’s about time Ben Miller was in Doctor Who!”
This episode was filmed in late March, with Peter Capaldi roaming the streets of Cardiff with a slightly different outfit to the one we’ve already seen. The ep has a major Robin Hood theme.

Riley has recently been filming near Caerphilly for the Robots of Sherwood episode which uses the Robin Hood legend to give The Doctor and assistant Clara Oswald, Jenna Coleman, a new medieval adventure. He says of the shoot:
"It's such fun, I've been a Doctor Who fan since I was yey high".
"It was a dream come true to be part of that world and see how it's created. Seeing the Tardis".
"I had doctor who themed parties each year and would go as a different Doctor. Peter is going to really surprise people. I have to be careful what I say. But there's just something in his eye that screams timelord history"...
