None of the official announcements posted online yesterday, about HBO's new series The Nevers with Tom Riley and others joining the cast, included any filming information. A bit of googling today has revealed a few tit-bits, but none of this is from official sources.
It seems that The Nevers started filming on July 4th according to a tweet by series creator Joss Whedon. And a few other online sources indicate that the filming is taking place in various locations in and around London - New Wimbledon Theatre, Trinity Church Square 1 2, as well as Chatham in Kent and include a few behind the scenes photos. It isn't clear how long the filming will run for.
A slightly more detailed description of Tom Riley's character has been shared online. Other characters mentioned include Miss Adair is being played by Ann Skelly, and Hugo by James Norton.
Tom Riley will play Augustus "Augie" Bidlow, a sweet, disarming nerd and Lavinia's younger brother. A keen ornithologist, Augie is happy to let his older sister take the reins of the family fortune. He finds the Touched unnerving, but is drawn to them by his increasing infatuation with Miss Adair, and by the schemes of his nefarious best friend, Hugo.
Screenrant posted a useful article outlining the background and development of The Nevers back in May 2019, but it is still useul for those of us unfamiliar with the project.
There is an IMDb page for the series here, which indicates a ten episode series, but hopefully more news updates soon.
