HBO's The Nevers cast member Nick Frost is promoting his latest project Truth Seekers, and was interviewed by RTS.org. In his interview, Nick mentioned his love for Joss Whedon and his work. The interview appears to have been conducted before September, when The Nevers started filming again following covid 19 shutdown.
His next job is to get back on set to complete The Nevers, the HBO sci-fi drama spearheaded by Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon. Though production halted during lockdown, Frost is looking forward to returning to the fold: “I’m still a fanboy, and to have him direct me… there’s still a part of me that squeals inside and thinks, ‘That’s the man who invented Buffy!’ It’s more anxiety, to be back acting, but I’m happy that I get to do it with one of my heroes.”
The 10 episode HBO series The Nevers began shooting in London way back in the summer of 2019. The first episode was completed before filming shut down for several months. Shooting restarted in January 2020, with the cast and crew filming up to episodes 5-6 before coronavirus forced another shutdown in March.
All cast members who have been interviewed since filming began have praised showrunner Joss Whedon's collaborative set, and are really enjoying filming the series. It will be interesting to finally see how the cast and crew manage to nagivigate the challenge of filming during the pandemic.
