Comics writer Kyle Higgins will be showcasing his sci-fi short film The Shadow Hours with a special panel at WonderCon in Anaheim, Calif., IGN can exclusively reveal.
Hosted by IGN comics editor Joshua Yehl, the panel on Sunday, March 25th will include a screening of The Shadow Hours followed by a Q&A with Higgins and notable members of the production.
Even if you can't make it to WonderCon, you're still in luck, because IGN will be exclusively debuting The Shadow Hours online on IGN.com on Monday, March 26th.
Starring Da Vinci's Demons' Tom Riley, The Shadow Hours follows twin brothers (Riley) born with a mysterious condition: only one of them can be awake at a time. Posing as one person, each awake for only half of a day, they make a living as private investigators until a budding romance threatens to ruin their lives.

The short film stars Tom Riley (DaVinci’s Demons) and Britt Lower (Man Seeking Woman), and is written and directed by Higgins (Nightwing, Batman Eternal, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Batman Beyond 2.0), filmed by ICG award-winning cinematographer Michael Nie (Shutter Island, Ray, The Kingdom), with an original score from Emmy Award-winning composer Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, Outlander, Battlestar Galactica, 10 Cloverfield Lane).
Panelists will include Higgins, Nie, executive producer Omar Spahi and producers JJ Vazquez & Nick Erickson.
The short film, which has already earned honors at film festivals across the nation, is currently being developed for a full-length version by Higgins. North 200B The Shadow Hours made its premiere at the HollyShorts Film Festival in August 2016.
The short film competed in several 2017 festivals including Juggernaut Sci-Fi/Fantasy Short Film Festival, where it won Best Fantasy and Audience Choice, and GenreBlast Film Festival Award, where it won Best Short Film. Its debut on IGN.com on March 26th will be the first time The Shadow Hours will be made available widely online.
