It has been such a long time! But finally we have a fun new interview with Tom Riley which was recorded recently. Tom chats to Maya from the The Seacrest Studios at Children's Hospital Colorado about Arcadia, The Woman In The House, Da Vinci's Demons, but no questions were asked about The Nevers sadly. Tom reveals the funniest moments filming The Woman In The House, and his favourite moto to live by. 

Coming back for a second season, is it easier?

Tom Riley: In theory, yeah, because I think we found our tone by the end of the first season. We found what worked best for the show and how to push it in the right way, so we knew what we were coming back to and the characters already had foundations so you could put them in different configurations and let them fly. But at the same time, because it’s so bold, the second season, because we decided to leave Italy and go crazy, that was different, that was hard.

His recent role as Septimus Hodge in Tom Stoppard's celebrated Broadway play, Arcadia, won him a host of glittering reviews, awards and highlighted him as an exciting new talent. Now returning to the London stage for Stephen Poliakoff's first play for 12 years, My City. IDOL chatted to him about forgetting lines, his latest role and the best advice he's ever had.

Actor Tom Riley is about to star at the Almeida Theatre in the world premiere of Stephen Poliakoff’s My City, and was recently nominated as Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for his role as Septimus Hodge in Arcadia on Broadway.

He tells IdeasMag how he prepares for auditions and whether or not drama school is worth the cash…
