The BBC has uploaded the frist trailer for new Agatha Christie adaptation Murder Is Easy, and it includes a brief glimpse of Tom Riley as Lord Whitfield.
According to the Radio Times, Murder Is Easy will broadcast on BBC One Wednesday 27th December and Thursday 28th December 2023.
In the trailer, we're soon transported onto a steam train where Miss Pinkerton (Penelope Wilton) asks Fitzwilliam about the closing time of Scotland Yard as she has to report a murder. But when he steps off the train, screams emanate from the crowd, and Fitzwilliam soon sees that Miss Pinkerton is found dead, leading him to think of the murders she'd told him about on the train into London. Determined to go there and see what's going on for himself, he arrives at the sleepy village of Wychwood under Ashe, but isn't greeted with the warmest of welcomes. "Are you one of those men who never know when to leave well enough alone?" someone asks him.
Filming on Murder is Easy took place in Scotland. Murder Is Easy premieres on BBC One at 9pm on December 27, with episode two airing on December 28. The series will become available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am on December 27. The series will be on BritBox International’s streaming service in the US, Canada and South Africa in 2024.
