Did you notice differences when you were filming Kill Your Friends and Doctor Who, after filming Da Vinci’s Demons for so long?

I kind of like the lack of pressure. You know, on Doctor Who, it is very much Peter’s [Capaldi] new thing, and it’s got to be right. Admittedly, I am in that episode a lot! It’s a big part, but I was really aware that it was Peter’s show, and the pressure was on him. He was brilliant with it. He was fantastic.

Steven Moffat said some really lovely things to the press about your performance in Doctor Who.

Are you enjoying the full producer role?

Yes, it’s been very interesting. Last year the co-producer role really only kicked in half way through. So, I only got a chance to do, what I hoped I could do, from episodes 3 and 4, and later. They’ve been really generous to me - really kind about it. They’ve taken on board things I have suggested. Things I haven’t liked as much, they’ve listened. It’s a give and take situation. Ultimately, there were enough strong, creative voices, that we came out with something we are very proud of with season 2.

John Shiban promises that season 3 will bring a lot of action, a lot of intrigue and best of all for us, a lot of da Vinci!

Starz has shared a brilliant short video, filmed last week, when the cast met for the first read through for Da Vinci's Demons season 3.

We get lots of Tom presenting the set for the new season as filming begins; and also a brief glimpse of Gregg Chillin with the rest of the cast. 

A new video interview with Tom, from the Cardiff screening of the Da Vinci's Demons season 2 finale, on 3rd June, has been shared by Buzz TV. Unfortunately Tom is blurry throughout, but it is still worth it to hear his voice, and thoughts about season 2. 

THE stars of Da Vinci's Demons say they are looking forward to heading back to Swansea Bay for the start of filming series three. The cameras are set to roll on the next installment of the top historical fantasy, which is packed with twists and turns and political intrigue, on June 23.

Riley has recently been filming near Caerphilly for the Robots of Sherwood episode which uses the Robin Hood legend to give The Doctor and assistant Clara Oswald, Jenna Coleman, a new medieval adventure. He says of the shoot:

A new version of video interviews with Tom, promoting season 2 of Da Vinci's Demons, have appeared online this week. It is (throwback) Thursday, so worth sharing, since the Da Vinci's Demons season 2 finale is almost here!
