A lot of behind the scenes photos and video from filming Dark Heart episode 6 have been shared here by Andrew Christy. They are great, and there are lots of Tom Riley, but are VERY spoilerish. So if you haven't seen the final episode yet, maybe wait to look at the photos.
This reviewer changed his mind about the show as the series progressed, while more kind words about the show and Tom's performance have been shared again on Dead Good Books. Catch up with the whole series on ITV Hub in UK, and BritBox in the US and Canada.
I mentioned Dark Heart (ITV, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9pm) the other week and I have to revise my opinion. It’s evolving promisingly, and Tom Riley’s DI Wagstaffe deserves a second series. LEP
Also elevating the programme from decent TV fodder to unmissable drama is the central performance of Tom Riley as DI Will ‘Staffe’ Wagstaffe. Charlotte Riley as Juliette and Anjli Mohindra as DI Josie Chancellor have also been excellent throughout and this final story featured a particularly strong supporting turn from Karen Henthorne as our eventual killer Theresa Clarke. But with a lesser actor as Staffe, Dark Heart is probably half the show it currently is. In Dark Heart, writer Chris Lang has helped create a well-pitched, believable, gripping and beautiful-looking crime series. Sure, he’s handsome. Sure, he’s cool. He’s also funny, smart and caring. And fundamentally a protagonist you can really back. You want him to get the upper hand and solve the case. Dead Good Books.
