In March 2017, Tom took part in the Whither Would You Go charity event in Los Angeles, to raise money for refugees worldwide via the United Nations Refugee Agency. On the night, a company of actors read extracts from Shakespeare's plays in response to refugee stories and accounts. This website and forum donated to the charity for Tom's birthday last month.
Very few photos from last night's event have been shared online, and there were sadly no photos of Tom rehearsing posted anywhere. A cast photo was tweeted by Lucy Davis, but this didn't include Tom. Luckily a few photos have been uploaded to Instagram today, which Tom seems to be in. The above photo was shared here, and the others are embedded below.
I haven't been able to find out what play or character Tom was performing last night. Sorry. Those who wish to, can still donate via the Whither Would You Go website.
According to the Whither Would You Go website, Tom is one of a company of actors who will be performing Shakespeare and refugee stories on stage in Los Angeles, to raise money for United Nations Refugee Agency on 16th March 2017. Tickets are available from here.
